A Thai parliamentary delegation led by Nikom Wariatpancih, President of Senate called on Prime Minister former Justice Mir Hazar Khan Khoso at the PM's House. While talking to the delegation the Prime Minister said that Pakistan and Thailand enjoy close and cordial relations. He expressed satisfaction over the frequent exchange of high level visits between the two countries.
The Prime Minister said that both countries have identity of views on a broad range of issues related to peace and development in the region. He said that Pakistan supports Thai government's efforts for peace and stability in the country. Terming the co-operation between the two counties parliaments vital in the bilateral relations between the two countries, the Prime Minister said that their role is extremely important in strengthening democracy in their respective countries. He emphasised that the parliaments of the two counties should have closer co-operation including regular exchanges of delegations.
The Prime Minister said that Pakistan is passing through an important phase and general elections would be held in the country. He said that his government's top priority is to hold free, fair and transparent elections in the country. Nikom Wariatpancih congratulated the Prime Minister on assuming the office of Prime Minister. He expressed the confidence that under the leadership of the Prime Minister free, fair and transparent elections will be held in the country.
