11th International Conference & Exhibition: e-Banking in emerging markets highlighted

Muhammad Ashraf, Regional Director Operations Middle East, Africa, Pakistan, Euronet World-wide said that cloud provides exclusive platform to financial institutions to utilise all required products on demand basis reducing their expenses and increase their performance in secure environment. He was addressing at "e-Banking 2013, 11th International Conference & Exhibition" organised by total communication on Thursday.
Ashraf said that integrated banking channels on cloud could be multiplier effect for the banking services that cater all possible demands of the consumers without transaction of currency through funds transfer including remittances, utility bills payment, healthcare charges, salaries, taxes, G-to-P and P-to-P money transfer solutions.
Naveed Ali Baig, CEO, Innovative (Pvt) Ltd in his welcome address said that e-banking conference 2013 is a unique platform for all stakeholders to gather under a roof to further expend their business. Ricardo Marques, Business Operations Director, Middle East, Africa from Wincor Nixdorf, Germany said that developing and emerging market is being witnessed more advancement in the alternative channels of the banking system with handsome inflows of investments and its profitable returns.
Pakistan is one of the emerging countries, which needs to advance its banking system in a way that it should be convenient flexible and mandatory service of masses lives, he added. He said that banking consumers are getting aware of the services and they pull up their demands to banking companies for customised and personalised solutions, Marques added. Hence banks should address their requirement to facilitate them in every aspect.
The banks need to secure their e-banking channels with rapid transactions and various portfolios in order to attract customers to fulfil their needs through banking channels. Faiq Siddique, Head of Payment Services Group, Habib Bank Limited and Naveed Ali Baig, CEO Innovative also explained the prospects of e-banking, success, future roadmap and implementation mechanism in Pakistan. Besides, KC Wong, Group CEO of Cheque Trunction, Umer Rabbani of SunGard, Riaz Siddique CEO of InfoTel and Shahazad Shahid, CMO of TPS also briefed the visions of their companies and potential of e-banking in the local market.
