Interior minister calls on Khyber Pakhtunkhwa interim CM

Federal Minister for Interior Malik Muhammad Habib Khan called on the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Caretaker Chief Minister former justice Tariq Pervez Khan at his office here on Friday and discussed with him matters related to the preparations and arrangements for holding of the upcoming general elections in a conducive and peaceful environment.
The Chief Minister apprised the Federal Minister of the preparations of the provincial government for the holding of free, fair and transparent elections. Security arrangements for the general elections and specially deployment of security personnel on sensitive polling stations came under discussion on the occasion, and satisfaction was shown on both sides on the overall arrangements for holding the general elections in a peaceful atmosphere and in an impartial manner in the province.
Malik Muhammad Habib Khan assured that the federal government would extend all possible support to the provincial government to ensure peaceful elections in the province. He informed that quick Response Force of Pak Army would remain stand by to deal with any untoward situation during the polling day. Concerned authorities of Interior Ministry and Provincial Home Department were also present on the occasion.
