JI urges unity to foil conspiracies against democracy

01 May, 2013

Secretary General, Jamaat-e-Islami, Liaqat Baloch, has urged upon the people all over the country to get united to foil the conspiracies being hatched against democracy, the Constitution, the parliamentary system and an independent judiciary. Addressing corner meetings in NA-126 in the Punjab capital on Tuesday, he said that corrupt and incompetent rulers, who were mentally slaves, had turned the country into a abode of corruption, bribery, kick backs, commissions, lawlessness, terrorism and bigotry.
These elements were uniting once again to return to power by befooling the masses and to continue their loot and plunder in future as well. Therefore, the masses should face the challenge and come out of their homes on May 11 for playing their historic role with a sense of accountability to Allah and the country.
Liaqat Baloch said that the elections 2013 would provide a historic opportunity to the masses for the reconstruction and development of the country. Pakistan, he said, was not simply a piece of land or a country alone. It was the goal envisioned by the founding fathers for the enforcement of a system based on the Holy Quran and the Sunnah and the JI was the only party that could achieve this goal. He said the JI would take into confidence the general public, traders, industrialists, farmers, Haris, the youth, the women folk, , the minorities, workers, professionals, and skilled people and strife for self-reliance and Islamic economic reforms.
