Chief Executive, Peshawar Electricity Supply Company (Pesco), Tariq Saddozai has termed the employees of the company as precious assets and commended their services particularly in provision of smooth and uninterrupted power supply to the consumers.
He expressed these views in his message on May Day for Pesco workers. He paid rich tribute to the Pesco workers who sacrificed their lives while discharging their professional duties and prayed for the departed soul of the martyrs. Chief Executive Pesco said that the company has taken all-out steps for provision of best possible facilities to the customers and has started number of projects so that customers' problems could be addressed. He paid rich tribute to the Chicago martyrs who sacrificed their lives for labour rights and welfare.
He urged Pesco's staff to follow the examples set by martyrs of Chicago and serve the nation and the company with dedication, zeal and national spirit so that the company and the country could be put on the path of success and prosperity. He also urged the Pesco's officials to use all their energies to reduce the line losses and enhance recovery so that Pesco could be made a profitable company in addition of being a customer friendly company.
Chief Executive Pesco also emphasised the curbing of the kunda culture from the society because illegal use of electricity is the root cause of Pesco's deficit, increase of line losses and is also the main cause of load shedding due to which the customers have to face inconvenience and this is also brings bad name to Pesco. He urged all Pesco employees to create awareness among the public in this regard and get public co-operation to curb the menace of electricity from the province.
Chief Executive Pesco, Tariq Saddozai eulogised the performance of Pesco's workers and asked the linemen of Pesco to take safety measures while working on lines. He said that Pesco administration has taken number of steps for the welfare and betterment of workers and will continue to work for the well-being of the employees.
