The country''s liquid foreign reserves declined by $173.6 million in the past week, the State Bank of Pakistan reported on Thursday. According to the central bank''s data, the country''s total foreign reserves dipped to $11.7644 billion on April 26 this year against $11.938 billion a week ago. Reserves held by SBP and banks also posted a declining trend. However, a major decline was witnessed in SBP''s reserves.
Reserves held by SBP dropped by $140.1 million to settle at $6.6769 billion, down from $6.817 billion. Similarly, reserves held by banks declined by $33.5 million to $5.0875 billion on April 26 against $5.121 billion on April 19 this year.
