A Peshawar Electric Supply Company (Pesco) lineman Rohul Nabbi was injured when a group of consumers attacked him while he was busy replacing old power meters at Hayatabad Phase-II on Friday. According to Pesco spokesman Shaukat Afzal technical team of Pesco Hayatabad Sub Division consisting of lineman Rohul Nabbi, Raz Khan, assistant lineman Noshad Khan and assistant lineman Naeem Khan were busy in official work at street No-2 and were replacing the old electricity meters that a group of people attacked them.
He said the linemen were replacing meters of Hujra and house No 58, 59 and house No 72, 73 the inhabitants of these houses and Hujras named Arshad and Habib stopped Pesco employees from replacing their meters and attacked on them with sticks and iron rods. As a result of the attack a lineman Rohul Nabbi sustained severe head injuries. The injured lineman was immediately rushed to the Hayatbad Medical Complex. SDO Pesco Hayatabad lodged FIR of the incident against the culprits in the Hayatabad Police Station.
