Anti Extremist Cell of CID claimed to have arrested five terrorists of banned outfit Tahrik Taliban Pakistan (Fazullah Group) and recovered arms from their possession. Addressing a news conference at CID office, SP CID Aslam Khan said that on the tip-off, police party raided at Kati Pahari area in the limits of Shahrah-e-Noor Jahan police station and arrested accused persons namely Ziaullah alias Sham, Farhad Khan alias Hamza, Zafar Hussain, Rafique Ahmed and Ilyas.
They all belonged to banned outfit TTP (Fazalullah Group). Police also recovered 75 kilograms explosives, two pressure cooker bombs, six tennis ball bombs, remote control device, detonating cord, detonator, four hand grenade, one Kalashnikov, one riffle, two TT pistols and a 9mm pistol from their possession. During initial course of investigation the accused confessed of their involvement in the bomb blasts and targeted killings in the city. Further investigation is underway.
