Malik assures MQM of peace in Karachi

Interior Minister Malik Habib has said that the government watches the Karachi situation carefully and will eliminate those who want to sabotage elections. Addressing a press conference along with Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leadership at party's headquarter, Nine-Zero‚ Malik said the government is focusing on situation in the city. He assured MQM leaders that law and order situation in Karachi will be improved at all costs.
The Minister said not only MQM but also other parties are being targeted by the terrorists. He expressed the hope that a good turnout in the elections is expected. He said the government is making all out efforts to provide security to all candidates contesting the general elections.
Later addressing a news conference along with MQM leaders‚ Malik Habib Khan said that appropriate use of vote will eliminate those who want to sabotage elections. He said a high level meeting has been summoned on Monday to address the issue and the reservations of all the political parties.
MQM leader Farooq Sattar said that the caretaker government must stop violence and attacks on the party offices on regular basis.
