PPP to win polls on basis of performance: Gilani

Pakistan Peoples Party senior leader Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani on Sunday claimed that PPP would win the next general elections on the basis of its performance. Talking to APP, he said that the PPP had its roots in the masses because of its leaders' commitment to live and die for the people. To a question, Gilani hoped that the PPP would win the elections from across the country because it had done a lot for the welfare of the people.
To another question, he said PPP founder Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto ensured the right of franchise for the common man and empowered labourers, workers and farmers and also made the country a nuclear power and strengthened its defence.
