Caretaker Minister for IT, Mian Zahid Hussain on Wednesday said that Sindh govt may sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with foreign IT companies to replace obsolete systems in various government departments. Addressing a dinner reception hosted by Captain Moiz Khan at Karachi Club, Mian Zahid said that he will soon hold a meeting with Intel Corporation's Country Chief in order to negotiate upgradation of IT system of government of Sindh and acquiring latest technology.
He said that his ministry has tried its best to speed up all the ongoing projects and if not during his tenure the post-May 11 IT minister would be able to complete them. He said that he also tried to expedite 'Arfa Karim IT City' project and the first phase is near completion. Captain Moiz, Khalid Tawab, Sardar Yasin Malik, Gulzar Firoz and Yahiya Polani also spoke on the occasion.
