Secretary of General Pakistan People's Party Parliamentarian (PPPP) Sindh Taj Haider has claimed that PPPP polling agents were thrown out of polling stations. He said that PPPP has always supported the democratic system and avoided politics of bloodshed resulting in rigging as had been done by MQM and other parties in Karachi and other parts of province and even polling agents of PPPP were thrown out of the polling stations.
Addressing a press conference here at PPPP Media Cell on polling day, Haider, who is also Incharge of PPPP Election Cell, said that PPPP's election cell was receiving complaints of rigging, which were emailed to ECP and other institutions including media. He said that transition power was happening just because of PPPP, as millions of party workers had struggled and sacrificed for democratic system. According to rigging complaints sent by PPPP Election Cell:
PS-97: large scale stamping of votes at polling station Jaddeul Islam at gun points. PS-106: Polling stations in Liaqatabad have been occupied and PPPP polling agents were thrown out. Government Comprehensive School Azizabad and Sindhi School Bhangaria goth have been locked and persons sitting inside indulged in large scale stamping. NA-252: Polling station of government National College was occupied by Muttahida Qaumi Movement, large scale stamping going on, no action by police and Rangers.
PS-97: Polling station Johar Public School at Disko Morr occupied by MQM, polling agents of PPPP were thrown out. PS-123: Votes are being cast in hard board castors on polling stations. PS-16: No seal on ballot boxes on polling station No 84 and 85. PS-57 (Basin): Polling process was facing acute difficulties at Polling Station No 28, GHS Pangrio (Male) in PS-57 due to non-availability/shortage of the polling staff. Besides, serious violations of Election Rules was being carried out at the polling station No 129 GMS Salar Halepoto (combined) where miscreants belonging to PML (F) have forcefully stopped the polling. They manhandled the polling staff and halted the election process.
NA-242 & PS-95: Large scale complaints received from Umair Children School 11 1/2 Orongi Town, Zia Colony that Army and Rangers were not sent to polling stations. NA-225: Violations of election rules were being carried out at the polling station No 32, Government Girls Marvi College Badin, where only 4 polling booths were available. However, only one booth is operational as the other polling officers had not arrived till 11:30 am.
PS-88: PPPP women voters at GPS Vadari being threatened and attacked by polling agents of Sheerazis' and Korai. PS-91 & NA-240: No polling agent of any party except MQM being allowed inside polling stations in UC-7 Baldia Town. PS-124: No staff or material reached cantonment Bhitai Colony. Only MQM voters allowed inside polling stations Karachi Public School Badar Town, 48H, Aziz School, Yarea School, Ballot papers already stamped on kite symbol.
PS-91 & NA-241: Following Polling stations in Baldia Town had been occupied Ali Children School Makka Colony, Shafia School, Ali Patni Mohala, Bahul Ilm School - UC-8, Happy way School Delhi Colony Baldia, Delhi Public School Delhi Colony Baldia, Adnan School near KMC office, Rabia School opposite KMC office, Mohammad Hussain School near Water Pump, Iqra Model School - Haji Qasim Colony, GBPS Mohammad Hussain and Mutalia Katchi Jamat Khana.
NA-242: At Gulshan Abbale polling station ballot papers were being snatched from voters and being stamped at kite symbol. NA-236: There were many complaints from workers in NA-236 (Sanghar) that Army and Rangers was not deployed at polling stations. PS-117: Polling station Madni School Martin Quarters Najaf Road was occupied by Muttahida Qaumi Movement. Large scale stamping were witnessed.
NA-225: Polling staff had not reached at polling stations situated in PPPP strong hold while polling was going on in the strong hold of PPPP opponents. Large scale violations have been reported in this constituency for so many days and the DRO was clearly playing a partisan role against PPPP candidate and Speaker National Assembly Dr Fahmida Mirza.
NA-246 & PS-106: There is no security provided on sensitive polling stations and PPP polling agents have been turned away from many polling stations by armed persons. NA-253: Polling staff were not reached till 9:30 am in PPPP strongholds like Mughal Hazara Goth, Bhitaiabad, Rashidi Goth, Lassi Goth, Raho Goth, Sukhia Goth, Ramzan Gabol Goth, Government Primary School UC-13, Faqira Goth, Janjamal Goth UC-4.
NA-237: Seal of ballot paper bags at GPS Ahmed Samoo was already open when the bags reached at the polling station. PS-124: Returning Officers were changed at polling stations No 99 & 100. PS-114: Gangsters occupied Chanesar Goth School near 79 to 90. PS-118: Heavy rigging was going on by MQM. Fake votes in large numbers were being cast by MQM in polling station Falcon House, GPDF. NA-243& PS-99: Almost all polling stations in Dhobi Ghat area were occupied. No ballot box seal in Polling Station Government Boys Agro Technical Secondary School 5/E.
Unauthorised persons have occupied the Polling Station. PPP Polling agents are not being allowed inside the Polling agents. NA-249: Large scale rigging by MQM reported from Lal School Dharamsi Wara, Iqbal English Grammar School, Blessing School, Allama School Hoti Market. PS-111: Ballot papers were being snatched by MQM polling agents in Liberal School, IBL Ranchhor Line Bus stop. NA-221 & PS-47: Fake votes were being cast in Qasimabad Government Boys College Happy Home.
PS-88: There is firing on convoy of PPP Candidate Owais Muzaffar. Some PPP workers are injured. NA-253 & PS-118: Armed men of MQM have occupied the polling station Government Secondary School situated in Block 1 Gulshan-e-Iqbal. Bogus votes were being cast. PS-106: Polling station GBSS FC Areb Lal School was occupied by MQM. Voters were not allowed to cast their votes. Bogus votes were being cast in favour of MQM.
NA-246: PPPP polling agent beaten up by MQM terrorists in Polling station Shaheed Millat College. PS-87: Presiding officer was kidnapped from Polling Station Jati Taluka. NA-237 & PS-84: About 50 polling stations have been occupied by armed persons. PPP women workers are not being allowed to enter in polling stations.
