Nine including two PML-N workers killed in Karachi

With the conclusion of general elections, the targeted killings has once again surfaced in the city, as at least nine persons including two activists of Pakistan Muslim League- Nawaz were killed and two others including a Station House Officer (SHP) injured in different areas of the city here on Sunday.
According to the details, two PML-N activists were gunned down by unidentified gunmen near 9C bus stop in Model Colony. According to police, the firing was reported when the PML-N workers took out rally over party's election triumph in Model Colony area. The victims were identified as Ishaq, 20, and Hamza, 18.
A man was gunned down by unidentified gunmen near 5-star roundabout in Nazimabad area. The victim was identified as Zahid Ali, 25.
In another incident, a man was shot dead by unidentified gunmen in Hussainabad area. The victim was identified as Aqeel, 31.
In a clash between two rivals groups in Landhi No 6, SHO of Sharafi Goth Police Station Khalid Nadeem Baig got injured while two other persons shot dead.
The victims were identified as Waseem Ahmed, 20 and Ahsanullah, 30. Heavy firing was reported in the area. Officials of Law Enforcing Agencies (LEAs) cordoned off the area and retaliated the firing. No arrest was made till the filing of this report.
Meanwhile, a man was gunned down by unknown armed assailants near Data Chowk in Orangi Town. The deceased was identified as Muhammad Abbas, 27. A 3-year-old Muhammad Ayaan was killed in a firing incident reported in 100 Quarters in Korangi area. Meanwhile, a man was shot dead by unknown armed men in 'Munno' Goth in PIB Colony. The deceased was identified as Shafi Muhammad, 30.
