Chairman Kashmir Council EU, Ali Raza Syed said, Pakistan's upcoming government should concentrate on Kashmir issue on the top priority basis. In a meeting of the council in Brussels in connection with political affairs of South Asia region particularly situation in Kashmir, Ali Raza Syed congratulated the Pakistan Muslim League-N Chief Mian Nawaz Sharif for landmark victory of his party in the elections.
He said, we hope the upcoming government in Pakistan would continue to highlight Kashmir issue and support right of self-determination of people of Jammu and Kashmir in the right perception. He said, Pakistan's new leadership would not ignore the people of Jammu and Kashmir but should remember that the Kashmiri nation particularly youth is sincerely attached with the movement.
Kashmir is a recognised disputed and international community should help in resolving the issue in accordance with UN resolutions and aspirations of Kashmiri people, he said.
The situation in the Indian Held Kashmir is getting worsening day by day and Indian forces stationed in the valley are committing worst human rights violations against the people of Jammu and Kashmir. He said, New Delhi has turned the held valley into garrison and suppressing Kashmiris through state terrorism to crush their liberation struggle. He again expressed the hope that the future government of Pakistan would not forget the issue of Kashmir.
"The new government of Pakistan would continue its political, diplomatic and moral support to the Kashmir's people", he optimistic. About the future of the region in the context of Kashmir issue, he said, settlement of Kashmir issue is beneficial for the whole region. If the Kashmir issue resolved according to wishes of the Kashmiris, the situation would become more normal and the South Asia would be witness of prosperity.
