President Asif Ali Zardari on Monday telephoned to PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif and felicitated him on his party's victory in the general elections. President Zardari said that the PML-N's victory would strengthen democracy. He hoped that Nawaz Sharif would continue this struggle.
Zardari also felicitated the former two-time prime minister on achieving majority of the seats in the parliament and expressed his hope that Nawaz would be able to strengthen the democratic process during his political tenure. PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif thanked President Zardari for expressing best wishes for the upcoming PML-N government. Meanwhile, Caretaker Punjab CM Najam Sethi called on Sharif brothers and congratulated them on PML-N success in the elections.
