In today's world, IT knowledge is of prime importance as it not only unlocks the doors of progress and prosperity but also provides a chance to get access to global opportunities. Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) Vice President Mian Abuzar Shad stated this while speaking at certificate-awarding ceremony arranged for the participants of "LCCI Web Graphic Skill Course with SEO" here at the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The LCCI Vice President said in the knowledge race in the 21st Century and rapid globalisation, the quality of information technology-based education has to be enhanced to bring it at par with international standards for bringing the country out of economic mire. "And to achieve the goal, the government would have to spend more on education as the existing budget is too meagre to produce desired and required results."
Mian Abuzar Shad said that it has now become very important to extend every possible help to students as their competitors into the job market are the students from the developed world.
"Right out of the gate of their Alma Mater, our students face altogether new challenges; therefore, they must be equipped well to cope with these challenges and for the purpose the educational institutions must continue to review and upgrade their curricula. He said that the educationists must stay in touch with private sector to get a feedback on upcoming industry requirements regarding new hiring. The curriculum should be designed in proper consultation with the private sector that has both the ability and the capacity to guide the educationists in right direction.
He said in the job market the people having knowledge of Information Technology are given preference over those who are without it. He said that the only objective behind starting computer courses at the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry is to equip members of this Chamber with latest business technologies so that they could be able to get a respectable place in the world market.
