15 May, 2013

Indian occupied Kashmir, veteran Kashmiri Hurriyet leader, Syed Ali Gilani has expressed the confidence that Pakistan would use its influence to build pressure on India for implementation of the UN resolutions on Kashmir, which guarantee right to self-determination for the people of occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
According to Kashmir Media Service, reacting to the holding of the elections in Pakistan, the veteran leader in a media interview in occupied Srinagar felicitated the people of Pakistan for successful elections, stating that Pakistan should continue its moral and diplomatic support to the innocent Kashmiri people. Syed Ali Gilani emphasised that the world community knew that Kashmir was a dispute and the international community should help realise their right to self-determination.
That is the only way, he added, to resolve the vexed issue and no other solution would be acceptable. The joint meeting of Executive and General Councils All Parties Hurriyet Conference that was presided over by the APHC Chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, in Srinagar, hoped that the new Pakistani government would work towards formulating a mechanism to take the Kashmiris on board for finding the lasting solution to the Kashmir dispute as per the Kashmiris' aspirations. The APHC decided to observe martyrdom week from 16th to May 16 to 21 in the memory of martyred liberation leaders, Mirwaiz Moulvi Muhammad Farooq and Khawaja Abdul Ghani Lone.
The Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front, Muhammad Yasin Malik expressed confidence that Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and his party would not put the Kashmir issue on the backburner. Hurriyet leaders, Agha Syed Hassan Al-Moosvi Al-Safvi, Nayeem Ahmed Khan, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza, Yasmeen Raja, Mehmood Ahmad Saghar, Zafar Akbar Butt, Masarrat Aalam Butt, Muhammad Yousuf Naqash, Farida Behnji, Farooq Ahmed Dar, Javed Ahmad Mir, Ghulam Ahmad Mir and Firdous Ahmed Shah, also congratulated Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif over the victory.
