Secretary General Jamaat-i-Islami Liaqat Baloch has said that transparent and impartial re-polling was inevitable in Karachi and Hyderabad for a strong and stable democratic order in the country.
Talking to a group of European observers at Mansoora on Wednesday, he said that the elections in Karachi and Hyderabad were rigged at a huge scale once again and the Election Commission, the judiciary and the caretaker government seemed to be totally helpless against the terrorists and target killers of the port city.
Accordingly, all democratic forces from Karachi were in protest. He said that the complaints regarding bogus polling and rigging all over the country must be redressed. The JI Secretary General said that a struggle for the unity of the Muslim Ummah should be the corner stone of the new government's foreign policy which should also endeavour to strengthen ties with China, our most trusted and reliable friend.
He stressed upon the PML(N) leadership not to cherish much expectations from India, and instead, take all the political and religious parties in the parliament on board for working out a charter of relations with the neighbouring country. He said that the liberation of Kashmir from Indian hold should be an important point of the foreign policy.
