National Engineering Services Pakistan (Nespak) Limited has made its mark by winning two projects of national importance in Karachi and Balochistan by setting up a winning streak. Lately, Nespak won first prize in an open architectural design competition for the Balochistan High Court Complex at Turbat. A total of 23 architectural consulting firms from all over Pakistan participated in the design contest.
The prize distribution ceremony was held at Turbat, wherein Justice Qazi Faez Isa, Chief Justice Balochistan High Court, presented a cheque of Rs 0.3 million to Nespak, which was received by M Arif Changezi, GM/Head and Iqbal Ahmed Baloch, Chief Architect, Architecture & Planning Division, Karachi of Nespak. According to press statement issued here on Thursday, a dedicated team of architects led by Iqbal Ahmed Baloch, Chief Architect, prepared the winning design concept. Other team members included Ubedullah Baloch, Tariq Ahmed Rind and Sumera M Bilgrami, Senior Architects.
The Rs 300 million project has been designed as a ground plus one-storey building with 10,219 sqm of covered area over a four acres piece of land. It will be completed in two years. Under another achievement, Nespak has won a Pakistan Navy project through an open competition based on technical and financial proposals. Nespak signed the agreement with the Pakistan Navy for planning, design, bidding documents and construction supervision of a ground plus nine-floor Residential Tower at NORE-1, Karachi.
