The Rawalpindi police have so far not succeeded in arresting the killers of a Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaf (PTI) worker, who was allegedly gunned down by supporters of Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) on Election Day-May 11. The PTI worker Usman Farooq, 28, was shot dead and others Bilal Khan, Aqeel Khan, Irfan Akhtar and Waseem Naqvi were injured in a clash between PTI and PML-N supporters.
The supporters of both the parties clashed when PTI workers were celebrating the victory of their party chairman Imran Khan from NA-56 defeating PML-N Hanif Abbasi.
