Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan, who continues to recover from the injuries he sustained as a result of his accident last week, is likely to be discharged from hospital by mid of next week. According to Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital, the injury to his back caused no neurologic damage and the strength and mobility of his limbs remain undiminished. His pain lessened dramatically and he now only needs pain-killers occasionally.
He is able to sit up in bed and is receiving regular physiotherapy. All his stitches have now been removed. He had X-rays of his spine earlier this week and the specialists treating him are very pleased with the results.
