DPPs asked to meet SPPs to improve performance

23 May, 2013

Director General Prosecution Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has once again directed all the District Public Prosecutors (DPPs) across the province to hold meetings with Special Public Prosecutors working in their respective district to improve their overall performance in shape of appeal against acquittal, revision for enhancement of sentences and bail cancellation petitions.
In a circular the DPPs have also directed to communicate minutes of such meetings to the Directorate of Prosecution. In case of non-improvement of their working, a case for deletion of their names from the panel of Special Public Prosecutors be submitted to the Directorate of Prosecution at the earliest. It may be recalled that the Director General Prosecution had issued necessary instructions in the first week of May 2013 to all the District Public Prosecutors (DPPs) in the province and had emphasised upon them to ensure improvement in the working/performance of Special Public Prosecutors (SPPs).
