Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Shahbaz Sharif on Saturday held a meeting with Pir Pagara, the chief of Pakistan Muslim League-Functional (PML-F), in Karachi and formally offered his party to join the government at the Centre, which the latter accepted. The meeting was held at Pir Pagara's residence in Karachi.
During the meeting, Pir Pagara felicitated Shahbaz Sharif over the success of the PML-N in the May 11 elections and the two leaders exchanged views on issues pertaining to government formation at the Centre and taking on the role of opposition in Sindh.
Earlier, talking to media persons in Karachi, Shahbaz Sharif said that PML-N would form its government in the Centre with the co-operation of its allies. He said Nawaz Sharif would abide by his promise of resolving problems of Sindh and Karachi. "We will start a metro bus service in Karachi as promised by Nawaz Sharif," he said.
