JuD chief's petition: LHC adjourns hearing

The Lahore High Court on Monday adjourned to September 24 the hearing of petition of Jamatud Dawa Chief Hafiz Muhammad Saeed seeking legal assistance of the government before a court in the US, adjudicating a law suit filed by families of US citizens killed in Mumbai terrorist attacks.
Deputy Attorney General told the court that the US state and justice departments had already challenged the jurisdiction of their court for issuing summons to ISI chief and other officials. The law officer suggested that the court should wait for a decision in this regard and requested the court to adjourned hearing.
