Election of CM, Speaker in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: JUI-F to consult other opposition parties

The parliamentary party of JUI-F will take a decision on participation or boycott of the elections for the offices of the Chief Minister and Speaker in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in consultation with other parliamentary parties of the provincial assembly.
The decision was taken in a meeting of the provincial executive council held here with provincial chief, Maulana Sheikh Amanullah in the chair. Those who attended were included Akram Khan Durrani, Maulana Atta-ur-Rehman, Qari Obaidullah, Maulana Fazle Ali, Abdul Jalil Jan, Asif Iqbal, Mufti Abdul Shakoor, Sahibzada Khalid Jan, Noor Islam, Sahibzada Aziz Ahmad and other members of the council.
The provincial executive council meeting was followed by the parliamentary party meeting here in provincial secretariat which was attended by JUI-F chief, Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman, Akram Khan Durrani, Senator Haji Ghulam Ali, Senator Saleh Shah and members National Assembly, Qari Mohammad Yusuf, Maulana Jamaluddin, Maulana Gohar Shah, and members provincial assembly, Maulana Fazal Ghafoor, Fazal Shakoor, Anwar Hayat Khan, Noor Saleem Khan, Zarin Gul and others. The provincial spokesman of JUI-F, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Abdul Jalil Jan, said that the meeting had condemned the arrest and tortured on the workers of the party in Charsadda and demanded immediate release of the arrested workers.
The meeting, he said, has given a deadline of May 31, 2013 for the release of the JUI-F workers, suspension of the local police officials otherwise all members of the provincial executive council of the party will lead the protest demonstration in this regard.
