Huge crowd throngs IT Exposition

The IT Expo in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa attracted a large number of visitors on first day which would helpful to develop industries and academic linkages with promotion of manufacturing products of various local and foreign companies. A large number of buyers on Tuesday took interest in various IT accessories and computers gadgets.
The organisers expected that the Expo would draw more crowds in remaining two-day, which will continue till Thursday. Around 45 registered companies with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Technology Park, put on display their products at 76 stalls, mainly computer accessories, hardware and other various IT stuffs.
In this connection, a formal opening ceremony was held, in which the Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry, President Dr Mohammad Yousaf Sarwar inaugurated the event. On the occasion, organisers and partners, Sohail Chishti, Abdul Khaliq, Abid Iqbal, Rasheed Khanullah, Janhangir Ahmad, Asif Khattak, and various companies CEO/Managers were present.
The first-ever initiative of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Technology Park in collaboration with Gravity IT Solution. Chief Executive Officer, Gravity IT solution and organiser, Zafar Iqbal while talking to media persons at sideline of three-day IT Expo said the KP IT board has also extended assistance, for making successful this IT exhibition.
"We have received very positive response from buyers on very fist-day of this exhibition which would be helpful for marketing products and promotion of brands, said Asif Khattak, a stall holder attached with ABC solution company. He welcomed the initiative of KP IT Park for providing opportunities to various companies to showcase their manufacturing products during the IT Expo. We expect for optimal orientation of products and outreaching the buyers in next two-days, Khattak said.
Iqbal said that 76 stalls at the three-day exhibition - which began on Tuesday were showcasing products as diverse IT accessories, include computers and hardware and other specific gadgets, information technology, engineering goods. He informed that companies enlisted with IT Park, from Peshawar, Abbottabad, Islamabad, Karachi, along with neighbouring Afghanistan were displaying their products in the exhibition.
The organisers said that they had issued instruction to put prices at low of all accessories. Therefore, he said most of companies offered 50 percent discount rates during three-day exhibition.
Earlier, addressing at the IT Expo opening ceremony, the SCCI chief, Dr Mohammad Yousaf Sarwar stressed that the promotion of Information Technology is eminent for economic prosperity and development in the country. On the occasion, the PITB Managing Director, Abdul Majeed Niaz, Director Marketing Shahnaz Shamsher also spoke.
