Unknown armed men gunned down two persons in Sariab area here on Saturday. Police sources said that unidentified armed men riding a bike opened indiscriminate fire at two people, leaving them dead. The assailants managed to escape from the scene. The police rushed to the site and shifted to dead to hospital for post-mortem where they were identified as Nazir Ahmed and Muhammad Din.
Later, the bodies were handed over to the heirs. No cause of murder could be ascertained. The Sariab police have registered a case against the accused and started efforts to trace and arrest them. Further investigation is in process.
