The PML-N Balochistan president and an aspirant for the post of Chief Minister Sanaullah Zehri has said decision about the chief minister of the province would be made in the next one or two days. Talking to media persons here on Saturday afternoon before oath taking ceremony of the newly elected members, Sanaullah Zehri said as other parties who got majority in KP, Punjab and Sindh have been allowed to form the government, the same formula should be applied in Balochistan.
He said being leader of the majority party, the members had expressed their confidence in him. The PML-N has emerged as the largest party with 18 seats, PkMAP-14, National Party-11, JUI-F 8, PML-Q 5, BNP-Mengal 2, ANP, Majlis-e-Wahadatul Muslimeen and BNP-Awami one each.
The PML-N, PkMAP and National Party have agreed to form a coalition government in the province but the question of chief minister is the major bone of contention. Being president of the majority party, Sanaullah Zehri is vying for the post. Dr Abdul Malik of the National Party is also in the field with the backing of Mehmood Khan Achakzai, head of PkMAP.
