Leader of Opposition: Imran should be elected for the job: Rasheed

Keeping his unique style of public speaking and outspoken nature, Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed expressed wish to see Imran Khan as opposition leader in the National Assembly. Speaking before start of the first session of the newly elected Assembly, leader of the Awami Muslim League (AML) is of the view that a strong personality is required for the opposition.
"I will also work on opposition side, but I think Imran Khan should be elected as opposition leader in the National Assembly," Sheikh Rasheed said. The Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan, who got serious head and back injuries after falling from a lifter during election campaign, couldn't attend the first session of the Assembly. Sheikh Rasheed had had the support of PTI and Imran Khan during elections, which resulted in his victory from Rawalpindi seat.
