The Supreme Court on Wednesday remarked that the National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO) implementation case would be taken to its logical conclusion. The three -member bench headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry resumed the hearing of the NRO implementation case.
During the course of proceedings, prosecutor for the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) K K Agha informed the court that he was unable to find the attested copies of reference filed in NAB courts against Joint Secretary Ministry of Interior Raja Tahir Hussain and former Secretary Establishment Ismail Qureshi. He pleaded for more time to submit the copies of reference in the court. Meanwhile, Dr Basit, the counsel for Ahmed Riaz Sheikh, informed the court that the NAB had completed investigation against former Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra) chairmen Adnan Khawaja and his client. The court adjourned the hearing of case till June 13.
