At least eight rangers' personnel were injured when unidentified armed riders hurled a hand grenade at Solider Mess on Wednesday night. According to police sources, the incident took place at Solider Mess of 81 Wing of Rangers located in the limits of Nazimabad police station where unknown armed riders threw a hand grenade from opposite side of the road.
Resultantly, eight personnel identified as Ghulam Hussain, Yousuf, Iftikhar, Mustafa, Fida Hussain, Imran and Musa received minor injuries. Rangers' spokesman said, "At the time of incident, rangers' personnel were coming out of the Mess". He further said that only two personnel got minor injuries in the attack. Later, the officials of Bomb Disposal Squad visited the site and collected evidences for forensic examination. Sources said that the grenade attack seemed to be reaction of Tuesday's incident when Rangers allegedly shot dead an unarmed youth at Shah Faisal Colony.
