Margallah Police Islamabad arrested four persons involved in preparing fake currency and deceiving people after portraying themselves as government officials, a police spokesman said on Wednesday. According to the details, Margallah police have arrested Asif Riaz Alvi s/o Muhammad Riaz Alvi in a kidnapping case and during preliminary investigation he confessed his involvement in preparing fake US dollars with the help of his accomplices.
Following information provided by the nabbed accused, SP (Saddar) Jameel Hashmi directed SHO Margallah police Ashraf Kahut to expand the investigation pertaining to their fraudulent activities. Margallah police team raided at flat No 5, second Floor Awan Plaza, G-8 Markaz and recovered tools used for preparing fake currency, besides arresting three other persons from whom fake letter pads of government departments and uniforms were recovered.
These nabbed persons have been identified as Amir Raza Mir s/o Nur Ahmed, Sohail Ahmed s/o Ghulam Sabir and Zahid s/o Muhammad Ashraf. They confessed their involvement in cheating the simpletons and giving fake currency to them in return of various deals by impersonating themselves as government officials. IGP Islamabad Bani Amin Khan and SSP Islamabad Yaseen Farooq have appreciated this performance of Margallah police team.
Meanwhile, Sub-Inspector Abdul Jabbar from Margallah police traced a blind murder case. Zaheer Akhtar s/o Dil Bagh r/o Bangial Islamabad killed Aurangzeb after firing and decamped after dumping his body at the gate of PIMS hospital. Golra police also arrested five persons Yasir, Umer, Sultan Shah, Riasat and Khurram Shehzad who stabbed to death Tayyab at Karbadia Meera.-PR
