PTI, Jamaat-i-Islami submit anti-drone resolution in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly

Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf-led provincial government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Wednesday submitted resolution against the ongoing drone attacks in tribal region to the provincial assembly's secretariat. The resolution was submitted by Deputy Parliamentary leader of PTI in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly, Shaukat Ali Yousufzai, Senior Minister, Siraj-ul-Haq and Shahram Khan Tarakai of Awami Jamhoori Ittehad (AJI).
The resolution states that drone attacks are violation of country's sovereignty, independence and international laws, which they condemned. The resolution demanded immediate stoppage of the drone attacks. Talking to media after submitting the resolution, Shaukat Yousufzai said that drone attacks were causing upsurge in terrorism incidents in the country including Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
He said that drone attacks were against the independence and security of the country and also the violation of international law and violation of human rights. He demanded of the federal government for playing its role in the stoppage of the drone attacks. Senior Minister in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa cabinet and deputy chief, Jamaat-i-Islami (JI) said that they would request federal government for preparation of suitable strategy for stopping drone attacks. He said that so far thousands of people have been killed in the drone attacks.
