06 Jun, 2013

Speaker National Assembly Ayaz Sadiq had to apologise from media persons for unruly behaviour of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) workers, who forcefully entered the press gallery. The presence of a large number of PML-N workers in media gallery created a total chaos like situation after they started abusing and threatening the media persons when they were asked to leave the gallery.
This led to a delay in the proceeding of the House and election of the Prime Minister. The speaker National Assembly stated after assuming the seat that he took full responsibility of what had happened. "I apologise to media and request the guests to stop chanting slogans and clapping to enable me to start proceeding of the house." Earlier, the security officials were called in to control the situation.
