Forex reserves fall due to poor investment opportunities: chief minister Punjab

'Due to lack of investment opportunities, foreign exchange reservoirs have depleted from $16 billion to five billion dollars in last five years'. This was dilated by Shahbaz Sharif while meeting delegations of PML-N here at Raiwind. Criticising menace of load shedding which has brought economic misery, he stated that the nation is facing Rs 525 billion circular debt. He termed the circle as Satanic.
The Chief Minister averred it was unfortunate that a nation that was faced with $60 billion debt while certain influential were involved in theft of billions of rupees of electricity, natural gas and furnace oil. The Chief Minister stated Punjab government would take measures in this regard. Speaking further he said Punjab administration and police would take all steps in this regard.
'They would have his full backing without any restraints', he added. Talking about problem of load shedding he said utilising all the sources, the solution of this problem need to be solved. Shahbaz Sharif said day and night hard work is needed so to provide respite to the people, which they would provide, he showed optimism.
