Federal Minister for Water and Power Khawaja Muhammad Asif on Sunday said that PML-N government will take all decisions in supreme national interest to steer the country out of crises. Talking to party workers and various delegations including business community, he said the government would do its utmost to resolve the problems especially electricity for providing relief to common man and industrial sector of the country.
Khawaja Asif further stated that business community is playing an instrumental role in strengthening the national economy and in providing employment to thousands of industrial workers despite prolonged power outage. Asif said that the first priority of the government is to reduce the duration of load shedding to facilitate the people across the country and all modes and channels would be mobilised for getting rid of the menace of load shedding adding that people would be informed of out of schedule load shedding in case of emergency.
The Federal Minister said under the dynamic leadership Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif PML-N government will try its utmost for resolving the energy crisis and our focus would be halting the electricity and gas theft and recovery of huge outstanding dues. The government would encourage private sector in investing in coal, hydro and solar power generation projects and business community should focus attention on initiating power generation projects across the country Kh. Asif said.
He disclosed that website will be launched shortly to help the people to assess the efficiency of the Ministry and to check the supply of electricity and power supply would be made crystal clear. The Minister said that PML-N will continue its efforts to serve the masses with missionary zeal and without any discrimination in the country. On this occasion he assured the Chairman Sialkot International Airport Ashaq Ahmed Chaudhry and Directors that all out efforts would be made for resolving problems confronted by the airport adding that business community of Sialkot had set a unique precedent by completing Sialkot International Airport.
