An upward trend was witnessed on the wholesale grain market on Monday in the process of trading, dealers said. On the cereals side, makai low type gained Rs 125 to Rs 2875-2900, jawar low variety was rose by Rs 50 to Rs 2550 and the best quality was unchanged at Rs 2600, guwar Sindh up by Rs 500 to Rs 11,000 and Rs 11,500, guwar Punjab, low variety was unchanged at Rs 9000 and best type was lower by Rs 1000 to Rs 10,500, they said.
On the rice sector, Irri-rice (broken) low variety was higher by Rs 100 to Rs 2900 and the good type was up by Rs 50 to Rs 2950, dealers said. On the seeds side, cottonseeds oilcake with bag Sindh low variety was higher by Rs 100 to Rs 600, they said. Prices were unchanged on the grams side, they said.
