At least seven people were injured in a clash between activists of Peoples Unity and Air League at Karachi Airport on Thursday. Workers of Peoples Unity staged protest demonstrations outside Managing Director (MD) PIA secretariat over the issue of flight schedules, where workers of Air League also reached to launch their protest on the same issue.
During these demonstrations, workers of both groups fought each other, leaving seven people injured. The injured included Mohammad Imran, Mohamamd Saeed, Haroon and Mohammad Shamroz. Sources said protestors also fired in air and used wooden sticks against each other. Police used tear gas to disperse protestors. Spokesman PIA said that a high level committee had been constituted to investigate the matter.
