MQM, ASWJ men, traffic: constable among nine killed

At least nine persons were killed in different incidents of violence in the city on Thursday, police and rescue reports said. Two men, identified as Kamran, 22, and Abdullah, 30, were found dead in Abbas Goth near Northern Bypass in the limits of Gulshan-e-Maymar police station. The deceased were reportedly kidnapped and then shot. Both men were shot on their foreheads. The bodies were later shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.
A man named Syed Abbas Ali, 37, was gunned down by unknown armed men in Aleemabad in the limits of Malir City police station. Sources said that deceased was the member of Tehreek-e-Jafria. The body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre. Another man named Mohammad Asif, 45, was found shot dead along Sukhun Nadi on the Super Highway in the limits of Steel Town police station.
MQM said that deceased was one of its party workers. According to MQM Muhammad Asif was among its workers who had gone missing three months ago. The deceased was said to be a joint in-charge of Landhi Sector's Unit-84. Two men were shot dead in a firing incident in Chakra Goth in the Korangi area in the limits of Zaman Town police station. The victims were later identified as Rizwan Ali, 28, and Najam Ali Qazi, 30. The bodies were shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre.
A worker of Ahl-e-Sunnat Wal Jammat (ASWJ) was gunned down by unidentified armed men in the Kati Pahari area in the limits of Shahrae Noor Jahan police station. The victim was identified as Mohammad Shahfiq, 40, alias Baba. The body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital. Noorul Haq, 32, was shot dead in the Haroonabad area in the limits of Pak Colony police station. The body was later shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi. A man was gunned down near a petrol pump along the Super Highway in the limits of Sachal police station. The deceased was identified as Inyaltullah, 35. The victim stated to be a traffic police constable. The body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.
