The Deputy Commissioner Jamshoro Sajid Jamal Abro expressing his apprehensions on over speeding and frequent accidents on Indus Highway has recommended the Sindh Government for establishment of Trauma Centre on the Indus Highway in the mid of Jamshoro Sehwan Sharif and handing over it to Motorway Police to bring the reckless traffic in control. This he observed while talking to the media persons at Hyderabad today.
He said, he has surveyed and that revealed more accidents and casualties on the Indus Highway as compared to Motorway controlled Super Highway. He said he is afraid of more accidents because of overloading and over speeding during upcoming annual urs celebrations of Hazrat Lal Shahbaz Qalandar (RA).
He said that he has also recommended Sindh Government for temporary administrative support from Motorway Police during the annual urs celebrations of Hazrat Lal Shahbaz Qalandar (RA), besides facilities of first aid to the injured ones would also be arranged by establishing medical and rescue camps equipped with all life-saving facilities along with Indus Highway, to minimise the losses of human lives. The Deputy Commissioner Jamshoro Sajid Jamal Abro also stressed upon media to create awareness about responsible driving among masses.
