Minister for Interior, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan Saturday said the government would hold dialogue only with those who would surrender and accept government's writ. Talking to media persons outside the Parliament House, he said operation has been completed at Bolan Medical Complex in Quetta, resulting in killing of 4 terrorists and arrest of another one.
The minister said that 14 girl students were martyred and 19 others suffered injuries when terrorists attacked their bus. He said when the injured were brought to Bolan Medical College for treatment, 12 to 14 terrorists who had taken position there, fired upon law enforcing agencies, as a result four FC personnel and the deputy commissioner were martyred.
About attack on Quaid-e-Azam's Ziarat Residency, he said an inquiry had already been ordered and would present facts before the nation shortly. The minister said the historic building suffered extensive damage in five explosions last night. "A joint committee would be formed by the Federal and Balochistan Government to assess the damage and prepare recommendations for restoration of the building," the minister added.
Chaudhry Nisar said wooden structure and furniture of the building was completely burnt but museum and rare photographs remained intact. To a question, he said federal government was approaching the provinces to provide additional security at all the national monuments. The minister said he directed the authorities concerned to work out a restoration plan for the Residency of Quaid-e-Azam in consultation with Balochistan government. To another question, Chaudhry Nisar said that all out resources would be utilised to provide stringent security to people of Balochistan.
