Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has telephoned Chief Minister Balochistan Dr Abdul Malik Baloch and assured him that the Federal Government stands by the people and government of Balochistan in this hour of trial. The PM made the phone call to Balochistan chief executive in the wake of successive bomb blasts in Quetta on Saturday.
While talking to the CM, the PM categorically stated that the perpetrators of the Quetta bomb blasts are enemies of Balochistan and Pakistan. He further asked Dr Baloch "to show courage and patience in this testing time". Expressing complete confidence in the leadership of Dr Abdul Malik Baloch, the PM said "you will come up to the trust people have reposed in your leadership by electing you as their CM through consensus."
The PM reassured him of the federal government's full support and co-operation. He further informed the provincial Chief Executive that all the federal institutions had been directed to provide maximum support to the Government of Balochistan. Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif also telephoned Minister for Interior Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan and sought details of Quetta carnage in which several people have lost their lives. The PM conveyed his directions to the Interior Minister to immediately co-ordinate with the Balochistan Government and extend maximum assistance from the Federal Government's law enforcement agencies to the government of Balochistan to control the unfortunate situation.-PR
