RSOs asked to improve command, control skills

The Director General, Punjab Emergency Service (Rescue 1122) Dr Rizwan Naseer has asked Rescue & Safety Officers (RSOs) to enhance height rescue; deep well rescue, communication and management skills. While addressing the opening ceremony of Advance Course of RSOs here Monday, he said the middle management comprising RSOs are the most importance segment of the service, who have to maintain disciple and working of their subordinates so they should be role model for others.
The objectives of this course are to enhance professional skills of middle management of the service especially with regard to medical ethics, SOPs of emergency management, establishment of community emergency response teams, safety protocols and etc. Dr Rizwan Naseer directed the RSOs to improve their command and control skills and management skills. "RSOs are the backbone of the Emergency Department so you have to ensure proper discipline, quality and standard of the Service," he said, adding: "Rescuers are respected by the citizens because of their noble work so they have to maintain public trust through their professional work and passion."
Dr Rizwan Naseer also asked the trainers of Emergency Services Academy to impart special training by arranging advanced professional training sessions. Earlier, all the Rescue & Safety Officers (RSOs) from all over the Punjab have been called at Emergency Services Academy for advance professional training course in connection with on-going capacity building program of Rescue 1122.
