In a press conference held by Samsung in Lahore, the company announced that it has reduced prices of some of its major phones, including the newly launched Galaxy S9 and S9+.
The conference was held at Hafeez Center in Lahore, where it disclosed the new pricing structure of few of its smartphones. Samsung’s ambassador Fakhar Zaman, who is also a star cricketer, revealed the new pricing strategy along with meeting retailers and media people at the Packages mall in Lahore, reported Tech Juice.
Recent survey shows not many people favor Samsung’s curved edges
The tech giant made a huge decrease in the prices of Galaxy S9, Galaxy A8, and Galaxy J7 Core, reducing as much as Rs. 12,000. Galaxy S9 went down to Rs. 91,000 from Rs. 103,000, similarly, Galaxy A8 went down to Rs. 56,999 from Rs. 62,999 and Galaxy J7 Core went down to Rs. 22,000 from Rs. 26,999. Other major phones too saw a decline in their prices.
Mr. Umar Ghumman, Head of Mobile Division Samsung Pakistan and Afghanistan said, “Samsung has taken a bold step even though the US dollar is rising in strength and has an upward trajectory. Samsung has taken a strategic decision to not put the impact of this hike on the consumer and have reduced the prices of all its smartphones”.
