EU consultant, UVAS VC discuss diploma courses

A European Union Result-Oriented Monitoring Mission comprising EU consultant Douglas McLure visited the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) Lahore on Thursday; and discussed with Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Talat Naseer Pasha diploma courses being run under the Trade Related Technical Assistance (TRTA II) Programme.
The purpose of the visit was access to the relevancy and quality of the programmes, efficiency of implementation, effectiveness, impact prospects and sustainability so that future strategy for new programmes can be devised. The Vice Chancellor told the mission that being a pioneer leader institute in food safety training in Pakistan the UVAS is providing all protocols, human resource, well-equipped laboratory and analytical facilities to its food safety diploma students. "The diploma students are trained on both theoretical and practical grounds according to the modern-day needs of the market," the Vice Chancellor said.
