President, Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Muhammad Haroon Agar inaugurated the 2nd Chem and Dye Tech Expo 2013 here at the Expo Centre. More than 70 local and foreign exhibitors from China, Taiwan, India and Germany participated here on Thursday.
Speaking on the occasion, KCCI President emphasised on holding sector-specific exhibitions to create bond between the international business community and their Pakistani counterparts. Exhibitions act as vital platform to promote and develop business-to-business linkages, he said.
He welcomed the international exhibitors of the Chem and Dye Tech Exhibition and said it is very encouraging that such events take place in Pakistan. These will facilitate the international players in establishing new ventures and alliances in Pakistan equally beneficial for them and their Pakistan counterparts.
Haroon Agar stated that the participation of local exhibitors shows the massive interest in this sector which also highlights the potential of our chemical and dyes industry. He hoped this international exhibition would help in increasing interaction among the business communities particularly from leather, textiles, chemical, paints and other industrial sectors.
He appreciated the participation of more than 70 local foreign exhibitors Haroon Agar said that Chem and Dye Tech Expo like other exhibitions will facilitate the Government's efforts of attracting foreign and local investments in the country. He hoped the exhibition will provide a vibrant platform and opportunity for the exhibitors to showcase their wide variety of products and emerging technologies in front of the trade buyers. He also appreciated the efforts of the Chairman of Pakistan Chemicals and Dyes Merchants Association, Salim Valimohammad and his team for organising the "Chem and Dye Tech Expo 2013" and all the supporters/facilitators.
