LB polls: PTI, JI to forge electoral alliance?

Following the developing a good working relationship at Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) and Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) decided to jointly go for local bodies' (LB) election. The insiders say that both parties have decided to make the alliance for the LBs election against ruling party Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz.
However, at this point, it is not clear whether they will go jointly across the county or will restrict themselves at the provincial level, where both have coalition government. Earlier, some differences have developed among PTI and JI in making of the government of KPK; however, following the patch up the both leaders of the parties are excited and pleased with each other.
This pleasant working relationship has led both parties, having same opinion on drone attacks and terrorism, and to fight against PML-N in upcoming LBs polls. PML-N have made its feet strong in last few years in the most populous province, Punjab, as well Pakhtun dominated KPK province making it a strong contender for winning mayors elections.
Senior KPK leader Sirajul Haq while presenting budget 2013-14 for the province informed that a total of Rs 01 billion had been set aside for holding of local bodies elections. The LBs polls in KPK are likely to be held in next three months while Punjab government has also announced to hold LBs polls as soon as possible.
