National Highways and Motorway Police (NH&MP) has recovered five stolen/snatched vehicles and arrested six culprits on Friday. As per details, a citizen named Havaldar Matiullah from Mangla Cantt. informed the Motorway Police that a white colour Toyota Hiace van No LRZ-1311, Model 1992 has been stolen from Qiladidar Singh Gujranwala.
On this information, Motorway Police alerted all its patrolling officers. After few minutes during patrolling, the NH&MP officers observed the said Hiace van in the area of Chakri on Motorway (M-2). The NH&MP officers stopped the said Hiace van and arrested Rehm Khawas s/o Mir Tamash and Sajjad s/o Rehm Khowas r/o Mardan and took the Hiace van into their custody.
The second incident took place at Burhan M-1, where the patrolling officers arrested the car lifters named Ali Ijaz s/o Muhammad Younus, and Muhammad Ashfaq s/o Muhammad Ameer aged 20/21 years, residents of Okara with Suzuki carry van. In third incident, a tracker company from Lahore informed Motorway Police that a white colour Suzuki Carry van No LEA-4845, has been snatched from Lahore, further more, tracker system is also installed in the said van, which shows that the van is moving on Motorway.
On this information, the Motorway Police alerted all its patrolling officers and succeeded in tracing the said Suzuki Carry van on Motorway (M-1) near Rashakai area and arrested two car lifters namely Ishtiaq s/o Akber Ali and Khurshid Tariq r/o Lahore. In fourth incident, during routine patrolling on Motorway (M-1) NH&MP officers recovered a stolen Corolla car No PX-403 near Rasha Kai area. In fifth incident, Motorway Police also recovered a white colour Suzuki Carry Bolan No CD-4632 which was stolen from the jurisdiction of Race Course Police Station.-PR
