Divisional Commissioner Hyderabad Jamal Mustafa Syed has directed to the officers concerned to complete urban drainage scheme of Nawabshah before the end of this year so that people of this city could be benefited accordingly. This he said while briefing the officers of different nation building departments at Nawabshah on Friday.
He directed the officers to adopt integrated development strategy and to undertake scheme as per schedule so that the construction of one scheme might not cause to other schemes. He directed to Deputy Commissioner Shaheed Benazirabad not to allow anyone to made cuts in the roads on their pretext of development works. He also directed to prepare contingency plan to meet the challenges of forthcoming monsoon and flood.
Divisional Commissioner Hyderabad Jamal Mustafa Syed was informed that an urban drainage scheme, designed to cater the needs of people upto 2023, was taken into hand in 2012 at the estimated cost of Rs 412.4 million and now 98 percent work of that scheme was completed.
