Retailers will have to adopt best international practices to win the confidence of the consumers and give boost to their businesses. The LCCI Vice President Mian Abuzar Shad stated this while presiding over the inaugural session of Five-day training programme organised by Fair Marketing Pakistan in collaboration with the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry here on Saturday.
The trainers including Ahmad Elahi, Jamil Ahmad, Qaiser Hanif and Azhar Bilal gave presentations to the participants of the training course. He said that the trading community needs to keep an eye on the international developments to learn about the methodologies to attract the end users. He said that Pakistani consumers are quality conscious; therefore, all quality parameters should be taken care of wile manufacturing edible goods in particular.
He also assured the retailers that the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry would extend every possible help to the trading community for the expansion of their businesses. He said that the LCCI would also arrange a meeting between the retailers and the District Co-ordination Officer so that they could be able to inform him about the day-to-day challenges being faced by them in carrying out their daily business.
The trainers belonging to various faculties informed the participants about the best practices in vogue the world over for the marketing of products. They said that the retailers should inculcate determination and motivation among the people working at their business houses by developing proactive selling behaviours that would ensure steady stream of sales during quiet periods. They said that the retailers would have to learn ways to maintain liaison with their customers in order to secure future sales. They also urged them to learn creative solutions for overcoming selling road blocks through creating a loyal client base.
